Clothing Cloest

Last Day To Be Open May 29

Program to Close

First Baptist Church has made the difficult decision to close the Caring Center South food and clothing ministry, often called the Clothing Closet, 6110 S 99th E Ave, which has served Union Public Schools.

In a letter to Union counselors, a liason for the church, wrote, "We have so enjoyed serving the Union community for the past 13 years and it is very hard for us to leave this ministry. That being said, we are still very much interested in pursuing other opportunities to serve this community so we hope that you will keep this in mind and let us know when and how we can serve."

The Caring Center South last day to be open will Thursday, May 29.

"Please come to see us between now and then to shop for your families and so we can tell you goodbye!" the liaison wrote.

The program is open Monday through Friday, 9-11 a.m. and Mondays, 6-8 p.m., when Union Public Schools is in session.
